Mayor Mohamed T. Khairullah has proudly served the Borough of Prospect Park since 2005, building a legacy rooted in service, resilience, and putting people first. As an immigrant who made Prospect Park his home, he understands the value of hard work, opportunity, and community. Before becoming mayor, he served as a volunteer firefighter and Borough Council member—laying the foundation for a lifetime of public service.
Over nearly two decades in office, Mayor Khairullah has delivered real results that matter to residents—improving roads and public spaces, strengthening municipal services, and supporting safer neighborhoods. His leadership is hands-on, accessible, and responsive, ensuring that every resident feels heard and every concern is addressed. In a diverse and vibrant community like Prospect Park, he has worked to bring people together and make sure every voice counts.

Throughout his service, Mohamed Khairullah has delivered real, measurable results for Prospect Park. When the borough faced a major water crisis in 2025—with service disrupted for more than 10 days—he led a rapid, coordinated response that restored access, strengthened infrastructure, and put long-term safeguards in place. He has consistently prioritized public safety, working to improve emergency response, enhance community policing, and ensure residents feel protected. Under his leadership, every road in Prospect Park has been repaved, improving transportation, reducing hazards, and raising overall quality of life. These accomplishments reflect a commitment to action, reliability, and putting residents first.
